Give a handle or grooves depending on the product to make it easy for the shopper to carry and use it. If the packaging is not handy, the shoppers are sure to look for other options in the store. So, you cannot afford to have a product package that is not practical. Practicality deals with the actual shape, size and functionality of the product container, not just the label or wrap.
